Caseloads vary depending on the experience and readiness of the intern. Typically they start out with a few clients, increasing their caseload as they gain competence and experience.
The ideal candidate would have self-confidence, good organizational, computer, and writing skills, a professional appearance, and be able take on and manage their own caseload/scheduling. He/she would be able to take direction, ask questions, and participate as a team member. Knowledge and experience in Medi-Cal documentation as well as bilingual skills (Spanish) would be highly desirable.
Supervision by an experienced Licensed Clinical Supervisor
The ability to accrue hours required to apply for licensure.
To expand knowledge base/clinical training of evidence based practices
Development of assessment and documentation skills
Work with a diverse population including children, school based, groups, adults, etc.
All interns qualify for compensation based on their experience.
